OpenCereThe Rhona Daniel led Dominica Association of Teachers Team Dominica returned to the State yesterday having just competed in the 15th Biennial Caribbean Union of Teachers Students’ Track and Field Championships at the Hasley Crawford Stadium in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

BellaAmong the highlights were: the Bronze Medal performance of Alika St. John in the Under 13 Girls Shot Put and the Silver Medal (2nd Place) performance of Naomi Scotland in the Under 15 Girls Javelin.Silver

Other notable performances came from Anelia Austrie in the Under15 Girls High Jump 4th and Jael Eusebe who secured a 4th position in the boys Under 13 Cricket Ball Throw.

The team’s overall performance was severely affected by injuries and the dreaded Chikungunya Disease. In spite of the disappointments, the Team performed reasonably well and came in 11th place overall in the competition out of sixteen.
